Wow – and I thought I was popular! Dana Delany is so well-regarded over at ABC that network prez Steve McPherson is inviting her to cheat on Desperate Housewives by starring in an Alphabet pilot that, if it’s picked up, would almost certainly take her away permanently from Wisteria Lane.As it is, the Emmy winner will already need time off to shoot an hour of Body of Evidence. Of course, that’s provided a deal can be made. As of now, Delany is still in talks to headline Evidence, a procedural that centers around a female medical examiner who used to work as a neurosurgeon. ABC declined to comment.
So, all that said, are you thinking what I am: WTF?! Share your conspiracy theories below. What does this mean for DH? And what on earth is so special about this role on Body that only the China Beach alum could play it?
I am too shocked to really say anything if Dana leaves the show. I just can’t say anything right now.
I’m shocked, as much as I’m oh soo happy for Dana that she’s that wanted, I’m still shocked.
If she leaves DH, there’s no reason for me to watch it any longer xD – I just loove the new storyline with Robin
Don’t hold your breath for Robin as Julie Benz got casted on a pilot for ABC as well.

Yes, that is true but it’s unknown for how many. Now I can only hope, they do NOT kill Katherine if Dana gets her own show. Like just let her go somewhere, with the chance of coming back one day, mostly if that other show sucks and sinks.
I think this is all just a rumor, personally. I mean I never really heard of Dana Delany that much prior to housewives, but since she’s been Katherine, I’ve been in total in love with her. I’m so glad and happy for her that people want her–I think it’s a risky gamble and she’d be smart to stay on Desperate, atleast she would be guaranteed a job for 3 more years (unless Marc Cherry kills off Katherine, which would be very, very bad, haha) I just hope she’ doesn’t leave to go on the new show only for it to be cancelled after 5 episodes. Finger’s crossed. I have a feeling she’ll stay on Desperate. =]
All just a rumor considering the source? I highly doubt it. Ausiello gets his facts right, always. And if you never really heard of her that is because you’re too young and weren’t around China Beach which was her big breakthrough role on television or you haven’t paid attention to tv in years as before DH she’s been on Kidnapped, Pasadena, Presidio Med with starring roles. Guest starring in Boston Legal, The L Word, Family Law, Law & Order SVU, Kojac and just naming a few, not to mention all the tv movies and movies she’s done all over the years.
Aus is usually pretty dead on, sad but true. While I still hope this is a rumor it looks like it may be true. R, lay off Chris eh? He’s just discovering her. Don’t forget it wasn’t that long ago I was fuzzy with who she was to.
But who knows, if it is then I will of course follow Dana over to her new show and we’ll cover it as we always have. Besides, it sounds like CSI meets Presidio Med and we loved Presido Med. This could be fun.

Uhm Marg signed for two seasons more, which means the 10th and is willing to stay for the 11th with a good deal. That’s why I’m saying we need to page her XD
