Dana Delany has revealed the current season of Desperate Housewives will end with plenty of drama for Lynette.
Fresh from the final day of shooting, Dana – who plays Wisteria Lane’s Katherine Mayfair – hinted Felicity Huffman’s character features prominently in the last episode.
She said: “I just came to visit because it was the last day. Felicity was in the last [episode] – it was a very dramatic scene and I tell you she did an excellent job.”
Speaking at the LA premiere of her new movie Multiple Sarcasms, the actress also revealed how John Barrowman is fitting in on the show.
She laughed: “I met him in the trailer yesterday – I’d never met him before. He is funny, he is irreverent and, oh my God, the stuff coming out his mouth! I just met him and I was like ‘who is this guy?’ – he’s great!”
She went on: “We tend to say that the men are the beta males on the set – the women are definitely in charge.”
Dana admitted she wasn’t sure if she would be returning next season.
“I find out in two weeks whether I have a new show or not,” she explained. “It’s called Body Of Proof. I think it’s pretty good, we’ll see. Otherwise I’ll be happy to be back on Desperate Housewives.”
So there we go, BOE is finally BOP – kind of lame title to me, I liked more BOE even if it had to be changed, or even M.E. more but oh well. Now let’s see if it gets picked up or not!
Title: Body of Proof

Please let it be less of a ‘visiting’ and more of a ‘cameo’ what she was *actually* doing that day on the set. I miss Katherine she’s been my favorite since that day she out-Bree’d Bree on her first appearance on the show ‘blinds, perhaps.’ Gold, pure gold. Well at least if she is not back she’s got her fairy tale happy ending with a super hot ex-stripper that is whiling to love her for who she is.
Well be happy to know that either way, we’ll see Dana next year on our screens again. Be it Body of Proof or back on Desperate Housewives, she can say what she wants but Marc Cherry won’t let her go just like that, hell even if BOP is picked up, she’ll go back as a guest star plus Katherine will never get killed off on the show.

Yeah, I guess either way works for us, but still I’m not the biggest fan of forensic TV shows, I guess I’ll have to start liking them if BOP gets picked up. Hopefully, if it does, it will give her Emmy #3
And amen to Mr. Marc Cherry for loving Dana as much as we do, don’t let go bro!
I wouldn’t put it pass Dana going this year for both Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and Best Guest Star in a Comedy Series, for Desperate Housewives and Castle so maybe Emmy #3 comes sooner than expected. After all, one of the China Beach ones was for her breakdown as Lt Colleen McMurphy so who knows.
May 17th we should starting hearing what shows get picked up!!! C’mon BOP!!!
No, actually it’s May 18th, evening UpFronts.
Hmm, Castle is consider a comedy? I was crossing fingers for a guest starring nod in drama, guess I’ll have to switch categories.
Never thought about a supp nod though, after all she got snubbed 3 years ago when she was actually on fire overshadowing every lead, but maybe that breakdown scene from last year can help her land a nod this year.
Have to admit, always thought Katherine’s story arc this season would actually benefit Benz for a spot as a guest star more than it would benefit Dana as supp, after all the academy loves DH female guest stars, and she actually wrapped up the Katherine story line, so guessing executives will campaign them both using the same episode, maybe “The Chase” some half naked Benz with hot girl on girl action, would be a safe play, just saying.
Yes, it is considered a comedy as it’s Desperate Housewives when both shows are actually a dramedy – no category for that, sadly.
Three years ago Dana submited 4×02 aka the infamous episode with the lemon meringue pie scene when she should’ve submited 4×11 Sunday or 4×12 In Buddy’s Eyes.
If anything, Julie Benz could only get a nod Lovely, it’s the episode she had more screentime on. I doubt Emmy voters would go for The Chase, don’t ask me why but I doubt it. And it doesn’t depend on the execs deciding for the actors, they are the ones who choose what episode they want to submit. Execs only decide what episodes, up to three, are submited for best comedy or drama.
Hee, my bad
. Thanks for straighten things out for me
.
Why is “Smiles of a Summer Night” ‘infamous’? I mean the episode is boring and nothing happens, but she was awesome, I mean I was very tempted to switch Bree to my #2 and named her my new DH queen, (this after adoring Bree for 3 season), after 10 minutes of screen time in “Now You Know”, but then after that snarky ‘now, you are perfect’ she threw to Bree’s direction while planning the lunch for Lynette, sealed the deal, for me, permanently.
I guess you are right, though, she should have picked up a different episode, any of those two you mention would have been great.
Hopefully this year she will submit something like “Boom Crunch” she was awesome in that breakdown scene, I mean she basically break my heart in two he she whispered to Dylan ‘I asked you not to come.” Or maybe “How About a Friendly Shrink” where she also managed to break my heart in two, while confessing to the Therapist about how she let her self pretend and have those little moments so she wouldn’t feel sad.
Anyways, Thank God Castle is considered a comedy because there is no way on earth she can compete with Sissy Spacek.
The ‘infamous’ thing is for the pie fight between Bree and Katherine, it’s just a joke.
Those two episodes are good but I’d rather pick Boom Crunch for the scenes, being devious like when Susan visited her, little bit of a psycho with Dylan and the final and epic chase in the hospital plus breakdown.
