V – Dana’s left us a new message, per usual we are re-posting them as many of you were coming to us again, letting us know that you’d be rejected from the official site.. again. We’re sorry to hear that and I hope someday the webmaster will grow up. It’s not Dana rejecting the posts, at all. I have no doubt that she would love to hear from all of you, and your wishes and whatnot.

R – I swear I panicked when I read she was in that car-bus crash. Now time for you all to read.

happy 4th of july to all of those here at home, and happy summer to those abroad, except of course our southern hemisphere friends.

i am typing with one hand because, i got hit by a bus. literally! my car was totaled and i am lucky that i only broke two fingers. it was a great lesson in humanity. the woman behind me who was honking incessantly for me to turn, left the scene of the accident without bothering to see if i was ok. and yet a total stranger sat with me for an hour and then drove me home. she was my angel. the fact that the bus driver asked for my autograph after plowing into me, i am choosing to ignore. as i said, i am lucky to be alive.

a further irony is that my character in “body of proof” has a car accident in the pilot and her hands go numb. let’s hope that all i have are fingers that will heal.

the next day i observed an autopsy with our wonderful tech advisor. it was a privilege and utterly fascinating. we are given these machines(our bodies) that work in the most miraculous of ways. how could we not take care of them? I, for one, feel like it is a gift that we must honor. and if anyone out there smokes- stop!

i am heading to RI in a week or so. it feels a bit daunting- like starting college in a new town. buying sheets and towels and all that- but it’s the adventures that keep us engaged.

thanks for being such regular members of the IHOP! i actually mentioned you all when i accepted the audience award for Desperate Housewives in Monte Carlo. it’s you that make my work possible. and as you know, i love what i do.

take care- and watch out for busses running yellow lights! life is precious.

dana

R – I can guess her little silver prius is not doing well either, but at least we know she’ll be able to recover. I can’t believe the bus driver asked for her autograph after the accent, just like seriously? You do that after you smack her car? And I’m glad to be right when I said she thanked her fans in code in Monte Carlo. We still have to upload the video.

V – During Dana’s tough time we wish her a safe and speedy recovery, it’s great to know that she’s otherwise okay. Hopefully we’ll find out if her mailing address is changing so any of you who wish to send get well wishes can do that. Before I got the whole story from Rebeca, I was completely hoping she broke her fingers hitting the bus driver in the face. What he did was not cool.

The first videos are being released from Monte Carlo, our good friends at CineTVBuzz have sent us the videos. They were the ones we were working with to send fan questions for both Dana and Julie, so please check out the videos and see if your questions got answered!

We love you Dana! I also love her Monte Carlo interview the best, always. Always the best candid stories, always the funniest comments, love it! We learnso much about her.

Maybe wants to take a shower..? She doesn`t need to take a shower, your supposed to go to the casino in Monte Carlo! Casinos, drinking and sleep. Forget the shower. You`ll look good without a shower.

Medical terminology? Don`t you keep a medical book next to your bed. LOL. My goodness Dana. But please write on the bodies, you could teach kids at Halloween if you put them on your lawn..do they have lawns in Providence? I just have snow, I don`t have a lawn anymore. Someone want to send me some Providence lawn, or just… lawn?

Well I’ve been checking the emmy ballots that were out last night and, like I predicted, Dana’s gone for both categories this year:

Best Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series – as Katherine Mayfair / Desperate Housewives

Best Guest Actress In A Drama Series – as Special Agent Jordan Shaw / Castle

I’m surprised Castle now counts as a drama when it’s always been a comedy. Also, both Tick Tick Tick and Boom! Have been submited for best writing for Castle.

There are no photos of this, so far, but we know Dana was there last night to promote Body Of Proof, as well as her new cast mate Jeri Ryan…. And Stana Katic for Castle…. And Julie Benz for No Ordinary Family.

It was an event to introduce the ten new shows for international buyers/broadcasters and also to remind the nine returning shows. And also, they were lucky to see Lost in as exclusive preview – mind you, Jeri Ryan must’ve been happy about that as she was sad to miss the finale for being there.

So far this is all the info I have, if there’s more, I’ll update.

The lady decided to share some new info about the upcoming weeks!

“I will be in Chicago on the 17th. And then I’m off to Europe for the Monte Carlo Television Festival and press in London. I’m planning on making a stop in Paris also with my sister. Then a vacation just for me on a beach somewhere with a lot of good books. I need it! By the way, I spent my first night in the New York apartment and I love it!”

Now time to explain why she’ll be at each place:

Chicago, 17th May: More Magazine event.

6 – 10 June: Monte Carlo Television Festival. She was there in 2008 and I swear I almost died every single day. She’s going to be there to represent Desperate Housewives, but you see… Castle’s also gonna be represented by Nathan Fillion – reunion anyone?! – AND! Dexter will be represented by Julie Benz, too! Anyone follows my traint hought here or am I alone?!

Now the London press bit is something that caught me off guard so I have no idea what that will be for, maybe to promote DH some more, or Multiple Sarcasms opening there or to promote Body Of Proof if it’s picked up.

We’re not really sure but it looks like Dana may be bidding on her own dress..

Bid here!

I think you should go try a turn at a bid, if you lose and it is her bidding you can proudly say you got PWNED by Dana Delany. I would. I would proudly say it. I would even make a shirt declaring that proudness..

I am such a DORK..

It’s just further proof as to why we love her, she bids on things she’s worn for charity. How cool. Plus, we know she looks great in it and she knows that she looks faboo in that dress. Let us see…

This is the second year in a row that Dana will host the event, isn’t that nice? Now I can say in both my and Tori’s name that we’ll be very very happy if Marg Helgenberger shows up too, you considering she’s on CSI and the show’s getting honored.

So this morning I did some strange bet of my own predicting Dana would be there this year, second in a row, and making this her ninth dinner she’s been invited to.

Turns out, this girl is absolutely right! I have no information, no confirmation or anything at all about Dana attending until… 10 mintues ago? But well just know you can look foward to it, Tori’s gonna prv the dinner, I’m watching the live red carpet and we’ll bring you the photos as soon as we can!

Keep an eye here for when we post about Dana arriving – which I hope I haven’t missed – and so us talking about her outfit!

Isn’t it great when we hear from the lady herself?

Wow. What a fantastic bday! I didn’t get up until 4 pm today so I know it was good.

But the best gift was receiving all of your messages from our International House of Pancakes. In no particular order: Belarus, Poland, England, Canada, Mexico, Port Charlotte, Brazil, Germany, China, Israel, France, Finland, Romania, Holland, Ireland, Australia, Argentina, Jordan-Amman, Egypt, Estonia, Sweden, Georgia, and Suriname. And of course from the good old US of A, Florida, Texas, California, Arkansas(hi Val), Delaware, Ohio, Michigan, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Wisconsin and Rhode Island.

And John Spielmann gets a special thanks for remembering all of those ladies that I have known over the years. I hope that I get a chance to meet many more. Right now I’m getting to know Dr Megan Hunt and she is turning out to be an interesting character. I hope you’ll all get to meet her next fall.

Meantime it is cold and rainy here but a pretty town with great New Englanders. And my meal at Al Forno last night was superb! If you’re ever in Providence, don’t miss it.

Thank you for remembering me. And double thanks to all who made contributions to The Scleroderma Research Foundation. It is much appreciated. I am humbled. Love to you all.

Dana
