So I’ve been reading several articles about this upcoming show, quite likely to be picked up by ABC after the pilot got the greenlight back in January. It sounds more and more like CSI meets House M.D. to me. So let’s make a list:
- Still in talks to do the pilot, as Desperate Housewives comes first and there are no news about her leaving DH as we know she’s staying for as long as they want her.
- The character Dana would play, if a deal is reached is Megan Hunt, a neurosurgeon-turned-medical examiner whose unique perspective and assertive personality leads to frequent clashes with her bosses. Another description of the character was given as “a brilliant and tenacious medical examiner whose background as a neurosurgeon gives her a unique and refreshing crime-solving perspective at the ME’s office. Just old enough to be on her second medical career, brilliant enough to have done both in half the time.
- Like I said, likely to be picked up by ABC as it’s produced by ABC Studios.
- Matt Gross, series creator and executive producer. His most recent work on television was Dirty Sexy Money, cancelled during it’s second season on ABC.
- Chris Murphey wrote the script for the pilot.
- Comfirmed for the pilot are the following actors Geoffrey Arend, John Carroll Lynch and Windell Middlebrooks.
- One hour drama to start in the fall if it gets picked up. This will not be known until May 18th, which is the day set for ABC’s UpFronts.
And this is all I know so far. When and if I find more information, I’ll post it.
Oh MY GOD! I go away for a day! And Dana’s leaving DH and this show’s coming up! well possibly!! but OMG! it sounds like a deadly show. I’d love to see her have her own show… The only thing is I don’t want it to be a flop but it sounds interesting.. her and Nathan spiraling off into their own shows. This must have come from her performance in Castle which I just can’t to seee.. I’m so excited for this and i’d be sad if she left DH but not if she had her own show

Dana is NOT leaving DH, there is NO word at all about her leaving the show. We can only wait and see what goes on in upcoming weeks.
i hope too that she´s not leaving DH.
maybe the info is a canard….so all we can do is waiting.
So psyched at the prospect of Dana getting her own show. I’ll be watching for sure, and it’ll probably get green-lighted because procedural dramas are generally loved by the public. I don’t much care, my love is for Dana more than any show so I support Dana in anything she decides to do. I’ll miss seeing her on DH if she needs to leave, but I don’t much like the writing of her character, she needs better material.
Well I said possibly. So I know she’s not leaving as of yet anyway. But I’d just love to see her get her own show it would be great
