Hey guys,
We know we haven’t been active for the past couple of weeks or so but we’ve been dealing with a few things, personal stuff. We both have been with exams and working in other stuff which is why we slowed down.
However, we’re going back to our usual programing this week even if Dana news are slow as ever but we have things to work on in the gallery. And although it’s not confirmed, I bet BOP production will start between 12th and 19th July, probably. Just like any US tv show that airs in the fall; I still find it amusing when people react at those news like ‘OMG so soon?’, it’s always been that way and if you were in fandom long enough you’d know about it.
Dana Delany has revealed that she would love to create a musical version of Desperate Housewives.
Delany, who played Katherine in the show, explained that she has already pitched the concept to the programme’s creator Marc Cherry.
“The idea struck me when I was watching 8 Women because the film reminded me so much of Desperate Housewives,” she told the Sunday Mail. “So I sent a DVD of the film to Marc. He wasn’t interested but now, of course, the television series Glee has come along, which I love.”
Delany added that she wants Cherry to team up with his friend Stephen Sondheim to create the musical.
“Maybe Marc could even get Sondheim to write the music,” she said. “I’d love to do it, even though I’m not a great singer.”
I got nothing, Dana PLEASE do this. I’d LOVE to see everybody sing and SHE LOVES GLEE. She’s further cemented in my heart. <3
The world premiere of ABC Studios’ “Body of Proof” will open the fourth edition of the RomaFictionFest, organizers said Friday, also unveiling a guest list that includes actor Andy Garcia and ABC exec Barry Jossen.
The July 5-10 event, which focuses on television fiction, is held predominantly at the Auditorium Conciliazione and the Adriano Multiscreen Cinema, both near the Vatican.
LL Cool J was on hand for Friday’s announcement of the lineup. He stars as special agent Sam Hanna in “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and festival organizers said an unaired episode of the series will screen in Rome.
Several screenings of projected related to music are scheduled, including the John Lennon biopic “Lennon: Naked,” from Christopher Eccleston. Eccleston is a RomaFictionFest veteran: He won the event’s award for best actor three years ago for his role in “Perfect Parents,” and he will return to the Italian capital for the screening of the Lennon biopic. Other music-themed screenings include Uri Gellar’s “My Friend Michael Jackson; Uri’s Story,” and the Coldplay documentary “Viva Coldplay,” which will focus on the group’s 2009 tour of Japan, and “the Italian premiere of “Stones in Exile,” which was produced by Mick Jagger. The film premiered in Cannes this year.
The festival, which said it has increased attendance each year since its inception, attracted 40,000 fiction lovers in 2009.
No word about Dana attending yet but this is worth posting anyway.
Like I said, yet another post today, now the closing ceremony. So far we know Dexter won for best drama and Desperate Housewives should win for best comedy but I haven’t heard anything yet and so Dana taking the award home even if temporally.
And yet another post about the Monte Carlo TV Fest – and trust me I’m not done for today as another will come up later, wait and see – including new photos from day 4, the 50th anniversary party and the daily magazine released during the festival, with Dana on the cover! Though sharing it with Julie Benz.
And this is exactly what I meant in my previous post, updating the three albums all over again. I smell scans tomorrow and more photos, too.
We love you Dana! I also love her Monte Carlo interview the best, always. Always the best candid stories, always the funniest comments, love it! We learnso much about her.
… Maybe wants to take a shower..? She doesn`t need to take a shower, your supposed to go to the casino in Monte Carlo! Casinos, drinking and sleep. Forget the shower. You`ll look good without a shower.
Medical terminology? Don`t you keep a medical book next to your bed. LOL. My goodness Dana. But please write on the bodies, you could teach kids at Halloween if you put them on your lawn..do they have lawns in Providence? I just have snow, I don`t have a lawn anymore. Someone want to send me some Providence lawn, or just… lawn?
Yes, another update today of the festival. See, this is how it goes when this festival takes place: you can have updates at any time during the 5 days that the festival lasts and even three weeks later you can still be updating with new stuff (that’s exactly what happened two years ago.)
So it’s time to say hello to yet another D&G dress – did Dana get stock actions or something?? because lately that’s all she’s wearing except this afternoon as she wore Prada – and also? Cake!
