ANIMOSITY GROWS BETWEEN GABY AND ANGIE,ON ABC’S “DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES”
“The Glamorous Life” – On ABC’s “Desperate Housewives,” SUNDAY, JANUARY 31 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), Gaby and Angie challenge each other’s parenting skills, Susan befriends a stripper (Julie Benz) and takes her under her wing, Lynette and Tom argue the merits of their new therapist, and a concerned Bree keeps a watchful eye on Orson for fear he may take his own life.
Dana Delany is calling from her trailer on the set of “Desperate Housewives.”
Make that her leaky trailer.
“The rain is coming right in and getting on my personal clothing,” she says with a laugh.
Then her phone dies.
When Delany calls back, she barely has time to report the latest from Wisteria Lane — “I’ve been shooting scenes with our newest cast member, Julie Benz, who’s playing a stripper” — before the phone dies again.
Delany dials again, on another line. This time, she was able to talk without interruption about the Ojai Playwrights Conference, an event that clearly is dear to her.
“I know actors always say this, but, if we don’t have good writers, we don’t get to do any good work,” said Delany, who won two Emmy Awards for playing nurse Colleen McMurphy on “China Beach” and starred in “Pasadena” and “Presidio Med” before joining “Desperate Housewives” in 2007.
Delany may be best known for her TV roles, but she puts her time and money where her live-theater interests are: She serves on the conference’s board of directors and is a veteran of its winter fundraiser, which at 5:30 p.m. Saturday will see her performing on the Matilija Junior High School auditorium stage with Sally Field, Zachary Quinto and Ted Danson, among others.
When the weeklong conference itself takes place at Besant Hill School in the Upper Ojai this summer, chances are good that Delany either will be in the audience or in the cast for the reading of some in-progress play.
“It’s a chance to experience fresh voices in theater, in a place where no one is being judged,” she said of the conference experience, which many attendees have likened to the live-theater version of band camp. “It gets to the core of what we do as actors. It gets me all jazzed up again about what I do for a living.”
It also highlights why live theater remains relevant in the era of personal dramas writ large on Twitter and Facebook, neither of which Delany uses. (She does, however, correspond with fans via her official Web site, http://www.danadelany.com.)
“We’re so isolated now by technology that we risk missing out on the communal experience,” she said.
To prove her point, Delany described what happened last summer during the conference presentation of “How to Write a New Book for The Bible,” Bill Cain’s serio-comic play about love, death and family.
I’m not going to be one of those people who goes I told you so. That would be super rude of us, and that’s not really our thing. Even on the facebook page for this site, even on the twitter for this site we have always clearly stated that we are not Dana, nor do we represent her, nor do we know her. People don’t always get it though, the fakes are usually very good at what they do, (However, Rebeca and I did call out the twitter fake when she posted McMurphy with an E in it. :S) so we’re posting this to finally put the rumors to rest and silence the accusations from one who dared to accuse us of posing as Dana, when in reality said person admitted to creating the facebook page and posing.. then deleted it when he got caught.

Desperate Housewives‘ Dana Delany will have some backup when she crosses over to Castle later this season.Ex-Heroes star Leonard Roberts has been cast as the partner of Delany’s kick-ass federal agent character, sources confirm to me exclusively.
n the two-part episode, the first of which is conveniently scheduled to air immediately following Housewives on March 21, the feds (a.k.a. Delany and Roberts) are brought in to assist Castle and Beckett on a serial killer case. The conclusion airs the following night in Castle’s regular Monday-at-10 timeslot.In related news, ABC — no doubt encouraged by Castle’s season-high ratings on Monday — just increased the show’s episode order from 22 to 24.
It’s official: This thing’s a hit!
Now I have to say the best part of all: Kick. Ass. Fed.
It seems I keep finding out more and more about the upcoming episodes. I did screw up in my counting, Dana’s episodes seem to be, finally, 2×17 and 2×18. And they are a two parter episode, if you want to call it that way as 2×17 has as title Tick, Tick, Tick Part 1. 2×18 is still to be named yet it’s listed as Part 2. The air dates are still 21st March for 2×17 and 22nd March for 2×18.
I hope we get more details soon, even if they’re on tweet form from Nathan Fillion. Also we’ll bring any photographs being episode stills or behind the scenes or on set as soon as we get our hands on them, and if there’s any sneak peeks with Dana, you can be damn sure we’ll post them too.
Not very much right now but, we get an approximate date about when Dana will start shooting her episodes and I got right my bets about her eps being 2×18 and 2×19. There’s a casting call for Special Agent Jordan Shaw/n – now we don’t know if it’s Shaw or Shawn – second’s in command who will appear on 2×17 and 2×18.

EW.com has a sneak peek at Stockard Channing and Dana Delany in Multiple Sarcasms, an indie drama set in 1970s New York. They play the agent (Channing) and wife (Delany) of an unconventional writer (Timothy Hutton) whose new play is about the women in his life (who also include daughter played by India Ennenga and best friend played by Mira Sorvino). Brooks Branch’s indie film opens March 26.Two quick thoughts: Timothy Hutton back in 1979– I can pretend it’s Ordinary People all over again! And judging from this photo, does Stockard Channing never age?
I don’t think that look is that exclusive considering how we’ve been tweeting for months with the MS twitter account back and forth, got movie stills months ago and both trailers before the ‘exclusive’ graced the face of PopWatch. But well, that’s just me.
Yes, even more! 4 more to be exact and with Julie Benz (Rita from Dexter) who has an arc on the show as Robin. And I will not say more not to spoil any of you.
We just got the promos for 615 Lovely which airs on 21 February. I know, a long time til then.
As I reported last week, our lady will be at the film festival created by Robert Redford. Now I got this right now from following Tim Daly on twitter – is it me or he has now learned to spell her last name after I told him how to do it? :p

I just tweeted about this but I’d rather explain it better.
For some months, I’ve been thinking about creating some goodies and Tori always liked the idea. Lately, the more I think of it the more I want to do it, so it will happen soon.
I guess everything will be on the Multipedia page, but it’s not sure yet. But we’ll let you know where to find it.
Anyway, what will you find here? Wallpapers, banners, icons and my craziest idea of all: a calendar. I recently had to make one and I liked it, I run this idea to Tori and she liked it as well so it’s going to happen. I’ll be posting monthly each new page – yes I know it’s 21st Jan but I’ll even make a January page – and I’ll include on it DH airing days among other things. At times it will be Dana on character or just her, it will depend on how I feel about it.
Also, I might custom some layouts for Livejournal. You can check this website’s community on LJ, which was how this whole thing started and so why I think of all these as my baby. You can check it HERE.
And yes, everything will be made by me. At least so far, we’ll see if at some point we accept artwork from other artists or anything like that. If we ever agree on accepting work from others, we will make a post about it, but we do not admit anything up to now. I just want to make things clear for everyone so nobody gets confused.
