Some of you may know and others don’t, but in ATWT Dana played Hayley Wilson Hollister and she was a professional Virgin. This article doesn’t name Dana but provides info about the show.
As the World Turns will end in September 2010 after more than half a century on the air, CBS announced Tuesday.
“The almanacs will show As the World Turns as a pioneer of the format, a hallmark for quality with its numerous Emmys, the launching pad for many television and film stars and a daytime ratings powerhouse for parts of three decades,” said Barbara Bloom, CBS’ senior vice president of daytime programming. “We thank our partners at Procter & Gamble for the privilege of hosting this beloved series … the actors, writers, producers and crew who worked so hard and shared their amazing talents to bring this series to life … and, of course, the viewers who shared the journey on our network for so many years.”
The cancellation comes three months after CBS axed Guiding Light — after 72 years on the air (57 on television) — as soap operas have seen a ratings decline in recent years. As the World Turns’ exit will leave just six soaps on the air; CBS will be home to two of them, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.
As the World Turns debuted April 2, 1956. It was the most-watched drama for 20 years and has won four Emmys for outstanding drama series, most recently in 2003. When President Kennedy was assassinated on Nov. 22, 1963, the show was interrupted and became the last regular network program broadcast for the next few days as continual TV news coverage took over.
Among its past cast members are Marisa Tomei, Meg Ryan, Julianne Moore, Parker Posey, Martin Sheen, Steven Weber and Larry Bryggman.
This event will be tonight in LA, and I must say if Tim Daly didn’t tweet about this, I wouldn’t have noticed! As you all know, or at least should, Tim and Dana are co-presidents of The Creative Coalition. And this is his tweet:
Hosting an event tonight with Dana Delaney for The Vreative Coalition concerning Latinos in the entertainment industry.
Oh and I just got yelled by him for replying ‘It’s Delany’ to him on twitter XD I love it. And those of you interested, can follow him @TimmyDaly
This is the last episode of 2009 and there will not be more episodes until 3rd January 2010.
A PLANE BARRELS TOWARD WISTERIA LANE, ON ABC’S “DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES”
“Boom Crunch” – Christmas cheer is curtailed when disaster strikes on ABC’s “Desperate Housewives,” SUNDAY, DECEMBER 6 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET). Gaby and Lynette’s friendship is on the brink of collapse; Susan hatches a plan to help an irrational Katherine; Bree and Orson come to an agreement over their marriage; Danny’s vital mistake may cost Angie her freedom; and a plane crashes down on Wisteria Lane, putting lives in peril.
So I just added new photos to the gallery! Some of them are HQ and others MQ, we’ll try to get them HQ like usual but we can’t promise anything. So here’s what we have, and a thumb per album:
Season 4 – New behind the scenes + Behind the scenes of a USA Today interview
Season 5 – Episode Stills + Behind the scenes + 100th Episode celebration
Season 6 – Behind the scenes.
It’s a little fan made video I made over the last few days, and it’s something I wanted to share with you guys as it’s all about Katherine/Dana. The dedications obviously go to Dana herself and to my lovely co-web Rebeca.
I couldn’t help but posting this. Not only because it made me laugh a little, but also because it names my beloved McMurphy and I also agree:
Mickey’s Mini Rant: What has Marc Cherry done to my beloved Colleen McMurphy? Katherine Mayfair would never cut herself for a man!
If I was Susan I think I would be slipping out the door quite quickly. Katherine’s got a tone that says, You’re not safe. You should leave… But, it just means our favorite bitch isn’t entirely gone.
So, while Dana sounds absolutely creepy, and you’re kind of OMFG-ing…We’ve got Bitchy Katherine back..kinda. Whoo!
